Teesside's campus is at the heart of Middlesbrough town centre with a wealth of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep as well as a stunning art gallery Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art. Foundation or extended programmes

· International Foundation Year (Business and Computing): India Standard XII – 55% minimum overall from CISCE, CBSE, Maharastra and West Bengal Boards, and 60% from all other state boards 
 

· International Foundation Year (Science and Engineering): India Standard XII – 60% minimum overall from CISCE, CBSE, Maharastra and West Bengal Boards, and 65% from all other state boards 
 

· Extended programmes (science and engineering programmes with an integrated foundation year): India Standard XII – 55% minimum overall from CISCE, CBSE, Maharastra and West Bengal Boards, 60% from all other state boards and IELTS 5.5 minimum in all bands (or equivalent) 
 

Undergraduate programmes

· Bachelor degree: India Standard XII – 65% minimum overall from CISCE, CBSE, Maharastra and West Bengal Boards, and 75% from all other state boards

Advanced entry to undergraduate

· You may be eligible to enter Year 2 of a degree programme if you have a three- or four-year diploma

Postgraduate programmes

· Minimum of 55% for a recognised Indian university; 50% minimum from the following universities: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Anna, Jadavpur or Kolkata University 
 

· For computing programmes – Minimum of 60% from a recognised Indian university; 55% minimum from the following universities: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Anna, Jadavpur or Kolkata University 
 

·  Master of Business Administration (MBA) has additional work requirements .

Accommodation for International Students

The university guarantees to help international students who apply before 1 September of the year they start with affordable student housing within easy reach of the University.

There are 1,100 places on campus in University-managed halls, houses or flats.

Accommodation facts

· In University-managed residences you have facilities to do your own cooking and laundry

· You can rent for a 40-week, 45-week or a 50-week period

· Heating, lighting, student bedroom insurance and free internet access is included in the cost

· The residences are mixed, open to both men and women. However, there are separate sections for rooms for men and for women

· The university welcomes applications from students with special needs although specialist accommodation is limited. If you have particular requirements, please let them know as soon as you receive a place on a course

· Kitchen equipment and bedding are not provided. You can buy a kitchen pack and bedding pack from  online shop. They must be requested and paid for before you arrive. Details are sent with your accommodation offer.

  • Rents for 2017-18 vary from £65 a week (£2,600 a year) to £115 a week (£4,600 a year) for a single room for a 40-week period
  • £58 a week (£2,320 a year) for a shared room in halls of residence for a 40-week period.

You may be eligible for a scholarship of £1000 or £1500 in your first year of study if you are an international (non-European Union) student studying on a foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate programme. Scholarships are awarded to students with higher than average grades or English language ability.
